EyeVision 3D now supports Micro-Epsilon surfaceCONTROL sensors

EVT has expanded its wide range of supported 3D sensors with the integration of the Micro-Epsilon surfaceCONTROL snapshot sensor into the EyeVision Software platform. This integration is powered by the VIC interface, enabling fast and stable communication between the sensor and the software.
EyeVision 3D already offers over 40 advanced tools for 3D inspection, including profile scanning, gap and geometry measurement, and robot guidance. Its hardware-independent architecture supports more than 80 manufacturers, giving users unmatched flexibility.
With the addition of Micro-Epsilon’s surfaceCONTROL sensor, users now gain access to a high-performance, fringe-projection 3D sensor known for:
- Submicron Z-resolution and high-speed data capture (up to 2.2 million points/sec)
- Snapshot capability for dynamic inline inspection
- Robust GigE connectivity via M12 industrial connectors
Thanks to this integration, point clouds, depth maps, and grayscale images from surfaceCONTROL sensors can be processed seamlessly within EyeVision 3D – just like with other supported devices.
This integration demonstrates EyeVision’s strength: high-performance 3D inspection with freedom of sensor choice.
