EVT expands partnership with Zivid through integration of new 3D cameras
Eye Vision Technology (EVT) has integrated the Zivid 2+ R-Series 3D sensors into its EyeVision software platform, extending a long-term collaboration between the two companies in the field of machine vision.
The Zivid 2+ R-Series combines accurate 3D point clouds with true color imaging in a compact, industrial-grade design. The cameras are suitable for robot-mounted and stationary setups, making them a good choice for applications such as bin picking, assembly inspection, packaging, and quality control.
Through this integration, EyeVision users can now include Zivid’s 3D cameras in their inspection and automation projects. The EyeVision software is hardware-independent, allowing users to combine cameras from different manufacturers — including 1D, 2D, 3D, thermal, and hyperspectral systems — within the same workflow.
EyeVision’s modular toolbox offers more than 380 function blocks for measurement, surface inspection, and robot guidance, used across industries such as automotive, electronics, pharmaceuticals, and renewable energy.
“This integration adds another reliable option to the EyeVision platform,” says Michael Beisig, CEO of EVT. “Our cooperation with Zivid helps customers choose the most suitable 3D sensor for their application without being limited to a specific hardware setup.”
EVT and Zivid continue to cooperate on expanding flexibility and interoperability in industrial 3D vision.
